ICE CREAM VENDOR FINED
Waipukurau, February 15. At the Magistrate’s Court this morning before the Magistrate, Mr. Mowlem, Len Edlershavv, of Takapau, was charged with selling ice cream containing less than 10 parts per centum of milk fat. The magistrate said that the breach of the Pure Poods and Drugs Act could not be overlooked. The defendant manufactured his own ice cream and should have known of the deficiency. The public were entitled to protection. The ease was a. serious one. Defendant was convicted and fined £5 with costs 23/-.
