BOWLING.

The Triangular Shield, won this year by the Foxton Bowling Club, is on vieAV at the -G. M. Ross Coy’s. It is some years now since the local Club 'won this trophy, which is keenly competed for every year. This yeatfs win .was almost as sensational as previously. Thomson’s rink started to play the final game 12 do'wn. By good play not only did the rink wipe out the margin, but annexed the necessary points to secure -the coveted trophy. On the former occasion the shield Avas won -on the Foxton green by one point with the last bowl, played by Mr. Nye. This year the Otaki Glub took part in the competition for the first time.
