TOWN HALL. For colourful drama, high powered action and fascinating scenic effects, “Horseman of the Plains,” Fox Films’ production starring Torn Mix, at the Town Hall on Friday night, is one of the finest Westerns that has reached the screen this season. Tom Mix, in the starring role, gives a portrayal that distinguishes him as the “ace of Westerners.” The cast is top-notch, -including Sally Blane, Heinie Conklin, Lew Harvey, Charles Byers, Grace Marvin and William Ryno. “Horseman of the Plains” is a story of a man and a girl fighting to save her ranch from falling into the hands of grasping enemies. The girl is a fiery-tempered hoyden, as wild as the winds of Wyoming.. The man is a peaceful citizen, roused to the heights of compassion at the sight of the frail girl battling her enemies alone. The manner in wh'c'h Mix saves the! ranch from the wily villains takes the audience through a series of thrilling episodes, and gives him a chance to display his prowess as a horseman.
