BOXING.
Auckland, February 4.. A middleweight boxing contest for a purse of £2OO, between Tommy Mclnnes (Scotland) and Lachie McDonald (Timaru), drew a large crowd to the Town Hall to-night. McDonald won on points, after the full fifteen rounds had been fought. The decision met with a mixed reception, although McDonold was clearly the winner.
