Marshall Foeh is seriously ill with a heart attack. M’iss N. Woods is spending a holiday with Miss Taylor, Wanganui River. Mrs. S. Austin and family are at present resident at Manawatu Heads. Mrs. J. Ohrystall and family are spending a holiday at the local seaside. ' Mrs. and Miss O’Dowd, of Tara.dale, Hawke’s Bay, are at present spending a holiday in Foxton with Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Scott. Mrs. M. Thompson, of Morrinsville, returned home yestei’day after a visit to her sister, Mrs. M. E. Perreau and brother, Mr. J. Walls, of Foxton. Miss E. Brew, of Taumarunui, is spending a holiday in Foxton as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Thompson. The death occurred at Palmerston North yesterday of a wellknown resident in the person, of Mr. Joseph Yorke Oliver, aged 72 years. Deceased rwas for many years connected with the firm of Bett and Boyley Ltd., and was prominent in (Masonic leireles. Miss M. Ferens, of Wanganui, is at present on holiday in Foxton as the guest of Rev. and Mrs. W. H. 'Nicholas. Miss Ferens, who is a champion swimmer and who holds a diploma and gold medal for lifesaving, will give a demonstration of rescue and resuscitation work in the local baths at 7.30 o’clock to-morrow evening.
