‘The final of the Manajwatu men’s * singles championship of the recent Manawatu tournament was decided on Saturday, when J. T. McDonald (Palmerston North) met and defeated ‘C. Procter (Foxton) 6 —3, (I—o. The winners of the North Island championship held at Masterton this week were as follows: — Men’s singles, C. E. Malfroy (Wellington); ladies’ singles, Miss Marjorie Macfarlane (Auckland); men’s doubles, C. E. Malfroy and N. R. C. Wilson (Wellington); ladies’ doubles, Mk’s. W. J. Melody and Miss L. Short! (Wellington); mixed doubles, N. R. 10. Wilson and Mi's. W. J. Melody (Wellington).
