Carmont, in addition to taking the trophy of the silver plate that went, with the winner’s share of the Cup stake, also gained the stop-watch as the trainer of the winner, presented by Mir. A. J. Havill. A gold-imo unted whip was also won by C. Goulsbro, rider of Henna. The presentations were made by Mr. R. McDonald, the president. Results: — Hack Hurdles Handicap. —Locarno 1, Lin Arlington 2, Cold Air 3. Won by twelve lengths. Time 2.40 1-5. Maiden Stakes.—lnflame 1, Marion (K. Robinson) 2, Bionc 3. Won by four lengths. Time 1.2 1-5. Pohangina Handicap.— Ridgemount 1, The Raider 2, White Ringlet 3. Won by half a length. Time 1.13. Siberia Hack Handicap.—■ Shining Star 1, Abbey Queen 2, Derrnod 3. Won by half a length. Time 1.15 1-5. Ashhurst Cup. —Henna (Mr. F. J. Canmont’s) 1, Imperial Spark 2, A nolo 3. Won by a length. Time 2.10.

Komako Hack Handicap. —Cloyne 1, Volplane 2, Merry Mixture 3. Won by one and a-half lengths. Time 1.28 1-5.

Rauin'ai Handicap.—The Swell 1, Moutoa Treasury (Mr. F. S'. Easton’s) 2, Kilmezzo (K. Robinson) 3. Won by half a length. Tiwe 1.28 3-5.

Manawatu Gorge Hack Handicap. —Wilmoreana 1, Rakauponga 2, Delude 3. Won by half a head. Time 1.44.

The Pahiatua Racing Club’s annual meeting will be held on the 29th and 30th of this month. The Clu'b lias been favoured by excellent fields and some good racing should result. For further particulars see advertisement.
