TRAGIC SURF BATHING FATALITY.

+ —_ Christchurch, Yesterday. At Pines Beach, Kaiapoi, last night, Stanley Rinaldi was drowned. Rinaldi was bathing with his fiancee, Miss R. Richards, when they both got into difficulties in the surf. Miss Richards was able to reach shallow water, hut Rinaldi, who was a good swimmer, was carried out, and disappeared. The body has not yet been recovered. The deceased was, employed in the Public Trust Office.
