RACING.
The prospects for the Foxton Racing Club’s meeting to be held on Wednesday and Thursday of next week are very good and given fine weather there is every indication that the club will experience a very successful meeting. The track is in excellent condition and reflects credit upon the efforts of the caretaker, Mr. Simpson. The club lias everything well in hand and the meeting should pass off without a, hitch.
A special train will leave Palmerston North on Monday evening 1o convey horses to Foxton. The secretary has (made arrangements for the. accommodation of 57 horses locally and everything is being done to eater for the wants o? the trainers and owners in this respect. Already White Ringlet and Mint Belle are in Foxton.
