WEDDING

MeMURRAY—MCDONALD. A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Hastings, on January 2, when Mildred Lucy, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. McDonald, Poukawa, was married to Robin, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. IL McMurray, Taonui, Feilding. The Rev. S. MeCulley of Maraekakao officiated. The bride, who was given aAvay by ber brother, Mr. A. W. McDonald, I wore a Pails model frock of white georgette, heavily headed in silver, while her embroidered veil was arranged with a coronet of orange blossoms. Shoes and stockings matched her frock, and sshe earned a shower bouquet. Miss M. Percy (Hastings) attended the bride and was attired in a pretty frock of delphenium blue georgette, with a fawn crinoline hat and shoes and stockings to tone. Her bouquet was of pink roses and maiden hair fern. She also wore a rope of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom. Two small nieces of the bride made charming flower girls, Miss Floie Clark (Levin) in pale lavender petal frock and Miss Jessie McDonald (Hastings) in pale pink petal frock. They wore pretty tulle boudeaux with large rosettes and pearl ornaments, and carried posies of flowers to tone. Mr. J. L. Cl Procter (Foxton) carried out the duties of best man. The bride on entering the church was presented by Miss Floie Clark with a lucky horse shoe. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Rialto tea rooms, when the usual toasts were honoured. The guests were received by the bride’s another, who wore a navy silk frock relieved with fawn erepe-de-ehine. She als'o wore a fawn hat, and carried a bouquet of pink roses and mauve sweet peas. Mrs. McMurray, the bridegroom’s mlother, Wore navy erepe-de-ehine with 'touches of oriental trimmings and hat and scarf to match. Her bouquet was of lavender sweet peas and pink heath. 1 The happy couple later left 'by ear en route to their future home in North Auckland. The bride travelled in a beige embroidered crepe marocain frock and charmelaine coat witn hat and shoes ensemble.
