(Sydney, January 2. How a father gave his life for his daughter- was revealed by Lifesaver Puree'll, who went to the assistance of iStanley Wallace, 39, and his daughter, when they were carried out by an undertow a-t Bilgola Beach. Wallace, who was having a (hard tussle with the waves, supporting’ his daughter, said to Purcell: “Never mind me. Take the child.” Purcell managed to reach the shore. In the meantime two brothers went to the assistance of Wallace. The three -men were washed dangerously hear the rocks, but eventually succeeded in reaching the beach. However, Wallace was dead. -The drowning girl was unconscious, and Purcell -was exhausted when they were assisted ashore. Both revived after a lengthy treatment.
