MAN JUMPS INTO BOILING LAKE.

STRANGE SUICIDE AT WHAKA. Rotorua, Last Night. An unknown man, poorly clad, jumped into the boiling lake at Whaka at 1 p.m. to-day before the bonified spectators. Police dine? the Maori caretaker were soon on the spot with grappling irons and the body Avas recovered, boiled, au hour and a-half after. It was removed to the morgue. The man’s age appeared to be 55 years, his height was sft. 10in., and he was of medium build.
