PERSONAL.
Constable W. Grainger, watchhousekeeper at Wanganui police station, has received notice of his transfer to Levin. Mr. and Mrs. Laing and Mi's. Collins, of Auckland, are at present spending a holiday in Foxton, as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. Owen. Miss Madge McColl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. McColl, of Foxton, was successful in winning the Tennis Championship cup for the Palmerston North Girls’ High School to-day . Madge was also second for the Swedish Drill Cup. The following resignations were received at Wednesday’s meeting of' the Wanganui Education Board:—; Orangimea, R. McMurray, sole teacher ; Marqhema,' W. D. Brown, sole teacher; Te Tuhi, E. Curton, sole teacher; Palmerston North Central, H. Lunn; Foxton side, J. L. Thompson, assistant; RouIviore, J. B. Tottle, sole teacher; Te Miro, C. Roache, sole teacher.
