THE PLIMMERTON FATALITY.
Wellington, December 8. At the inquest concerning the death of Janet Lewis, aged 18, who Avas killed as a result of a motorcar capsizing near Plimmerton last Sunday, the medical evidence indi- . cated that, death was due to shock, the result of internal injuries. The driver of the car, Lionel Charles White, aged 22, said that the car, a single seater with a dickey, had three passengers in the front seat, deceased sitting on the knees of another girl, Avith also tAVO men in the dickey. When he was attempting to change the gear on a hill the car ran back before he could apply the brake and capsized. He said that he had room to manipulate the levers, but the road was very narroAV and a wheel went over the bank. A verdict of death due to misadventure Avas returned.
