REFORM GATHERING.

MOTION OF CONFIDENCE IN MR. COATES. Wellington, Nov. 30. Supporters of the Reform Party assembled at the Farmers’ Institute building, Wellington, in large numbers last evening to meet the Prime Minister and after an address by Mr. Coates the following resolution was carried by acclamation: “That this meeting of citizens of Wellington, confident in the great ability of the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates to lead the country, expresses to him thanks for his distinguished services in the past, and is confident that in the near future the. country will insist on his restoration to the position of Prime Minister of New Zealand.”
