THE KING’S HEALTH.
TURN FOR BETTER. The latest bulletins concerning the progress of the King are of a rather more favourable nature, and have caused a feeling of relief throughout Britain. London, Nov. 27. A bulletin issued at 8.30 p.m., signed by Lord Dawson and Sir Stanley Hewett, stated that the King had a less disturbed day and his temperature was somewhat lower than at the corresponding hour last night, and his strength was maintained. \ PRINCE OF WALES RETURNING WITH DUKE OF GLOUCESTER. London, Nov. 27. The Prince of Wales has cabled to Mr. Baldwin: “In view of the King’s illness the Duke of Gloucester and I myself are returning to England as soon as possible.” REFORM PARTY’G SYMPATHY. The following resolution was passed at the caucus of members of the Reform Party yesterday:— “That this meeting of Parliamentary representatives of the Re*' form Party of New Zealand desire to express their loyal and sincere sympathy in the King’s illness and also their earnest hope that His Majesty may soon be restored to good health.” FREEMASONS’ SYMPATHY. Dunedin, Nov. 28. At the Masonic Grand Lodge gathering to-day, His Excellency the Governor-General outlined the latest advices as to the condition of the King and was authorised by the Grand Lodge to send to His Maa cable message of sympathy and an expression of hope for his early restoration to health.
