TENNIS NOTES.
A committee meeting of the Foxton Tennis Club was held at Mr. L. C. Bryant’s residence on Tuesday evening, presided over by the President (Mr. L. C*. Bryant). There were also present Misses M. Denton, Neylon, A. Haydoek, M. Stevenson, Mrs. L. C. Bryant, Messrs E. Petersen, W. Roach, T. Chipper, L. Couch and the secretary (Mr. C. Procter). The question of erecting a pavilion on the club’s grounds was discussed and it was decided to coni struct a pavilion of rustic design by means of “working bees.” The question of refreshments at the courts on Saturdays was also discussed and it was decided that the ladies undertake to provide same and that a charge of 6d per head be made. Various matters relative to the matches and competitions were discussed and the meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the chair.
