PERSONAL.
Mrs. I. Corn left yesterday for a holiday in Napier. (Mrs. F. W, Frankland, of Wellington, is at present on a visit to Foxton. Mrs. Carter, of Auckland, was a visitor to Foxton last week as the guest of Mrs. J. K. Hornblow. The Rev. J. H. Edmondson, attended the annual synod of the Hawke’s Bay-Manawatu district of the Methodist Church of New Zealand, which met at Palmerston N. yesterday. Mrs. A. Duncan, of Eastbourne, Wellington, sister of Mr. A. E. Scott, is at present on a holiday visit to Foxton, and is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Scott, of Whittaker Street. Mr. K. Robinson is at present spending his annual holiday with his mother, Mrs. F. Robinson, of Thynne Street, prior to taking up his duties at the Hutt branch of the Bank of New Zealand, where he has been transferred. Mr. A. C. Kennerley, at present manager of the Carterton gasworks and formerly manager of the Foxton gasworks, has been appointed manager of the Levin municipal gasworks, and will take up his duties early next month.
