CHILD KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.

BACKING OUT OF OARAGE. On Thursday afternoon an unfortunate accident occurred outside Mr. E. R. Booth’s garage, in Whyte Street. The three-year-Sld son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Desjardines failed to notice a car being backed out of the garage by Miss Brown. The driver Avas unable to see the child Avith the result that it was knocked doAvn and a front wheel passed over its abdomen. The child was quickly conveyed to Dr. Wyllie’s surgery but an examination did not reveal any serious injury, apart fror a broken arnu The child is reported to be making good progress towards recovery.
