FOXTON HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

Despite the wind and rain of the past few weeks flower growers are looking forward to having plenty of blooms for exhibition at the show to be held in a fortnights time. Keen interest is being evinced in the cottage garden section and for the cookery there are several special prizes in the two sections; the rich fruit cake, with prizes amounting to 17/6, family cake, first prize 5/-, iced cake, Miss Hughes’ special 10/6, plumb pudding, Mr. Roore's 5/-, apple pie, Mr Purcell’s 5/-, sponge roll, Mrs. Cochrane’s 5/-. These and other specials will .make this section of •special interest to those ladies who are not garden enthusiasts.
