FIRM’S LOSS.
FORMER MANAGER SUED. "PERTH, Oct. 18. Brow’n, Dureau, Limited, secured judgment against Robert Spaven, its former Perth manager, from whom they claimed £14,343 for allegedly speculating* in flour, jute, bran and pollard, thereby involving the firm m considerable loss. Immediate judgmgit was given for £5296, plus £7449, from which the defendant is entitled to deduct any profits made on his unauthorised transactions.
