FOXTON UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
A committee meeting of the Foxton United Sports Association jvas held in the Racing Clubs office on Saturday evening presided over by Mr. W. T. Jewell (President). Also present were: Messrs W. E. Barber, J. M. Thomson, D. R. Ban-on, Alexander, W. Ross, W- Jewell, J. Barber, D. Christie, C. A. Pearson, R. Warwick, E. Parian, M. E. Perreau and the secretary (Mr. J. Christie). Only two applications were received for the position of secretary and Mr. L. Couch was elected to (ill the vacancy. It was decided to grant an applicant permission to hold a stall in the grounds on the day of the sports for £l. Mr. E. J. Murphy’s tender for the books was accepted. The question of advertising was discussed and quotations accepted. It was decided to remove the Association’s canvas sign from Levin and erect it in Palmerston North to replace the damaged one in that town.
