ALLEGED VICTIMISATION.

In our issue of 2nd instant, appeared a letter signed “Fi'bre“ dealing with the alleged victimisation of two flaxmill employees who were Flaxmill Employees’ Union delegates to the recent conference between the Prime Minister and representatives of the millers and employees. The letter states (inter alia) : “The men who tendered for the job successfully in the first place were superseded by the non-tend-ering delegates at the old pidce, but not subject to the 10 per cent cut.” We now learn that our correspondent was in error in making that statement which is untrue and we regret its publication in our columns, as both the men referred to have contracted to do their work on the same basis as the other employees, namely a 10 per cent, reduction on their wages.
