BOWLING.

OPENING OF LOCAL GREEN TO-MORROW. The Foxton Bowling Club intend opening their green for the season’s play to-morrow afternoon, at 2 o’clock. Given fine weather the attendance of local and visiting bowlers is expected to be large, and special care has been taken in the preparation of the green in anticipation of a good afternoon’s play. The croquet courts will also be opened in conjunction with the bowling green. The general public are invited to be present. Local bowlers and croquet players are reminded to bring a basket for afternoon tea.
