PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the Plunket. Society was held yesterday afternoon at their rooms, Fairey’s buildings. Those present were: Mesdames Trueman (in the chair), Christie, Walton, Baker, W. H. iSmith (Moutoa), Bergin, Adams and Barron (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames F. Robinson, Procter, and Edwards. A motion of sympathy was passed to Mrs. F. Robinson (President), and Mrs. Jas. Robinson and family. Accounts totalling £4 17/6 were passed for payment. It was decided to enter a competition in the next Horticultural show for ‘-the most nutritious, appetising, well-balanced and attractive lunch for a school child,” judging to be done by the Plunket Nurse. Nurse’s box yielded 8/6; Corn’s weighing machine 8/-. Nurse’s visits to Foxton for September, 4; and to homes, 1. Total visits to office, 209. Visitor and flower steward, Mrs. Baker.
