PERSONAL.
The engagement is announced of Miss Lykke (Pat) Smidt, of Awapuni, Palmerston North, and at present on the nursing staff of the Christchurch Public Hospital, to Captain Maurice Buckley, of the Royal Air Force, Christchurch. The death took place at Featherston last night of Mb. Albert Huntley, a well-known settler, aged 75 years. Born in Kent, England, the late Mr. Huntley arrived in the Dominion about fifty years ago and after spending some years in Wellington he removed to Greytown and subsequently to Featherston, where lie engaged in business and farming pursuits. For some years past he lias lived in retirement. He leaves a widow and family of four sons and three daughters. The sons are E. V 7!. (of the Herald staff, Foxton), Albert J. (Greytown), Henry (Carlerton), Fred (Taradale) and Mrs Darragh (Wellington), Mi's. Wjiliiams (Featherston), and Miss Huntley (Featherston).
