THE ALL BLACKS.
NICHOLLS DENIES DISSENSIONS. Sydney, October 5. Speaking at a welcome to the New South Wales Rugby team, Avhich has just returned from New Zealand, Mark Nichols, the only All Black present, took the opportunity of denying reports of dissensions among members of the team during the South African tour. He particularly refuted the suggestion that the captain and he had been at loggerheads. “BroAvnlie and I are great friends,” he said. “We have differed in our opinions regarding football matters at times, but these are brushed aside on the field, where the team has ahvays been Avholehearted in its desire to further the fame of New Zealand.”
He gave it as his opinion that as the result of the tour, “our New Zealand football authorities will be convinced that the day of the wingforward is over.”
