AMENDED BILL PASSED. AN ALL-NIGHT SITTING. After a sitting which lasted for twenty-one hours, the House of Representatives, at 1.35 p.m. yesterday, passed the Mental Defectives Amendment Bill, with amendments. The registration and segregation proposals were retained, but that relating to sterilisation was dropped.
