MANAWATU SEAT.
MR. McMANAW|AY’ r S CANDIDATURE. A large and enthusiastic meeting, representative of all classes of the community, was held at Bulls last evening, when Mr. H. J. D. McManaway met supporters of his candidature for the Manawatu seat. Mr. J. E. Walker (chairman of the Town Board) presided and praised Mr. McManaway’s services to the community during a long period of public life. ■His remarks were endorsed by influential business men and fanners and a motion was carried that Mr. McManaway should be asked to stand. Mr. McManaway announced himself as an Independent Reformer and stated that he would visit Foxton and Levin, and after hearing the views of supporters there, would give a Anal decision as to whether, he would go to the poll or not. Mr. H. J. D. McManaway, Independent Reform candidate for Manawatu, will meet his supporters in the Town Hall supper-room, Foxton, at 7.30 o’clock this evening.
