FOXTON UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
A committee meeting of the Foxton United Sports Association was held in the Racing Club’s office on Thursday evening, presided over by Mr. D. Christie. There were also present: Messrs Perreau, Smith, Austin, Parkin, Pearson and the secretary (Mi-. J. Christie).
Routine matters in connection with the forthcoming sports meeting were discussed and attended to. The secretary reported that the Wanganui District Council was unable to loan the Association its ambulance this year as it was going to Waverley owing to there being races on there on that date. No reply had yet been received from the Palmerston North Hospital Hoard in connection with a request that an ambulance from that institution be in attendance on the date of the meeting. A report on the Association’s insurance scheme was submitted by Mr. M. B. Bergin and matters in connection with advertising the meeting were dealt with.
