BRITISH AIR DEFENCE COMMANDER.

WfILL ARRIVE NEXT MONDAY. Auckland, Last Night. Air Marshal Sir John Salmond, Air Officer Commanding the air defences of Great Britain, will arrive in Auckland by the Aorangi next Monday. He has been in Australia for some months past, investigating the question of air defences and transport. While in New Zealand, Sir John will meet officials of the Government and will inquire into the aviation question in the Dominion. He will be met at Auckland by Major T. Wilkes, director of Air Services in New Zealand, and Captain L. M. Isitt, officer in charge of the aerodrome at Hobsonville.
