MOTOR LORRY DESTROYED BY FIRE.

ON HIMATANGI ROAD. Shortly after 8 o’clock last evening a motor lorry oAvned by Mr. E. McGill, of Norbiton Road, Foxton, and driven by Mr. W. Wright, was destroyed fiy fire on the Himatangi i oad betAveen Sorenson’s corner and the Oroua Doaauis Hall. Mr. Wright informed our representative this morning that the engine back-fired and immediately burst into flames, which quickly spread and resisted any efforts at extinguishing. He Avas returning to Foxton at the time after carting some seed to his uncle’s farm. Thelorry Avas practically destroyed. The vehicle Avas covered by insurance for £6O.
