At a meeting of Committee of.the local club held last week, it was decided that the date of opening of the Foxton green be Wednesday, October 10th. The prospects for the coming season appear very bright, and it is expected that the green will be in excellent order for play by opening day. It was agreed that a comb attachment be secured for the power mower, for the purpose of improving results. It was decided to request the Levin Club to arrange a conference of delegates concerned with the Triangular Shield contest for the purpose of considering the matter of re-arranging the conditions governing that trophy together with the inclusion of Otaki in the contest.
