SPRING SHOW.

The Aveather during the last few days has brought on all classes of flowers very fast, so there should be a good exhibition at the Town Hall on Thursday next, when the Horticultural Society stage there Spring Shoiv. Everyone jvho can contribute to the A'arious items on the schedule should do so. If * any intending exhibitors who are in doubt as to Avhether their flowers are fit for show purposes or other - Avise would get in touch with the secretary (Mr. Nicholas), the president (Mr. Christie) or any member of the committee, an expert will be sent along to advise about quality, classification, etc. The decorative section of this year’s sLoav indicates the popularity of this class of exhibit. Substantial prizes are given in each number, and special prizes in several. For the decorative table without embellishments, the society is this year supplying vases, so there Avill be uniformity. Mrs. A. S. Easton has again given her special prize for the best bloom in the bulb sections, AA’hich should cause plenty of competition in this class. In the cut bloom section Mr. Christie’s points prize gives encouragement for large entries, as growers of this class- of flower are more numerous than in others. Particulars of the children’s elocutionary competition will be published in Saturday’s notes.
