- TOWN HALL. The very romantic Balkans, where intrigue and love and life are always intermingled one with the ether, is the scene of “The Last Waltz,” which will be at the Town Hall on Wednesday. The story was adapted from an operetta of the same name. All of the .actors in the east are from some country in the old world, and there are many countries represented.' However, the director is an American, Arthur Robison. The picture is now being released by Paramount. It is a delightful tale that is spun about a Duke and his aide, and a Princess and her lady in waiting. Many of the big scenes are set at the St. Moritz winter sports carnival in Switzerland. Funny enough to make a horse laugh! Polo ponies, romance and love. With breezy Bill Haines! See Metro - Goldwyn - Mayer’s “The Smart Set,” at the Town Hall on Friday.
