THE SINS OF AUCKLAND.
SALVATION ARMY PROCESSION ATTRACTS QUIET, CURIOUS CROWD. Auckland, Last Night. The Salvation Army procession in the city to-night to mourn for the sins of Auckland attracted a huge crowd. It was a quiet and curious crowd and there was a complete absence of demonstration. People thronged the footpath and roadway and traffic was held up, but the procession was without incident. The procession was headed by Commissioner J. Hay and included three groups of women in black, red and white costumes respectively. The procession lasted 25 minutes and ended without a demonstration either for or against.
Later in the evening, the Commissioner gave an address on the sins of Auckland.
