Wellington, August 31. “The safety of mails in post offices is of great public importance and the .courts never look lightly on offences by officials in post offices concerning tampering with mails,” said Mr. E. Page, S.M., when sentencing a young postman, Henry Edward Roberts, to be detained in a Borstal Institute for 12 months on five charges of stealing letters containing money, postal notes and stamps involving £5 8/6,
