MISSING RECTOR.
TURNS UP IN CANADA. London, August 24. The police announce that the Rev. Franklin ‘Hutchinson has been found in Quebec. Hutchinson joined the liner Empress of Scotland at Cherbourg, travelling as a tourist in the third class. He was dressed in civilian clothes, but made no effort to conceal his identity. He changed into clerical attire when he disembarked in Quebec. A steward on the ship says that he gathered that Mr. Hutchinson was taking up educational work, in Canada. He was full of fun during meals. Hutchinson was described as a “settler” on the ship’s papers. CASE ABANDONED BY POLICE, London, August 24. The Essex police have abandoned the Hutchinson case.
