BANKRUPTCY DISCHARGE REFUSED BY JUDGE.

Wellington, August 22. His Honour, Sir William Sim, today refused the application for disci.a ego from bankruptcy of Philip Reginald Webber, on the ground that Webber had been dishonest in removing some goods, including table linen and silver, and a bag of sugar and a bag of flour, from bis premises—a private hotel and tearooms at Paekakariki—by night. The Official Assignee had accepted the explanation and recommended the discharge, but His Honour was not satisfied.

Webber claimed that the goods were tools of trade, but His Honour said that it was a very poor explanation.
