FLAXMILLING HOLD-UP.

There is nothing further to report in connection with the flaxmilling hold-up, except that the Secretary of the Union is carrying on a correspondence with Mr A. Seifert, of Miranui, Ltd., in connection with the operations of that concern, which cuts no ice in its application to local millers. The millers and employees union will be represented at a conference with the Prime Minister and Minister for Labour at Wellington on the 29th inst., when the present position will he reviewed and an attempt*made to arrive at a satisfactory solution. The millers have decided to abide by any decision arrived at, but no such undertaking has been given by the other side. The result of Wednesday’s conference will be awaited with interest. To-night the Employees Union will appoint their delegates.
