MYSTERY OF HUMAN BONES IN SANDHILLS. Christchurch, August 2. Has a piece of Fuji silk a few inches long any association with the mystery provided by the discovery of human remains among the sandhills at North Brighton? Near the spot where the bones were found there was a piece of Fuji silk tied round a branch of lupin. 'The view is held that it had been tied round the branch since the death of the child. The bones are obviously those of a small child with flaxen hair. It has not been possible yet to determine what the sex of the child Avas. The inquest was opened yesterday before Mr. H. P. Lawry (Coroner) and adjourned after a boy, John 0. Lye, had described the finding of the body also the finding of a white rag tied to a bush.
