REV ROBERTSON ORR SUSPENDED.
GUILTY OF UNBECOMING CONDUCT.
Vancouver, July 20,
A commission of the Presbyterian Church decided adversely on the case of the Rev .William Robertson Orr (the Rev. R. S. Orr), who came to Canada three years ago from Wellington, Ncav Zealand.
The commission finds that he is guilty of conduct so unbecoming a minister as to necessitate a dissolution of his pastoral tie with his fashionable central church at Vancouver, and that he remains in suspension from holy duties until completion of the divorce action now pending. Mr. Orr is named as co-respon-dent by Gordon Fleck, a middleaged capitalist Avho is suing his Avife • particularly because, he alleges, she took a trip Ayith Mr. Orr in the latter’s room on hoard a steamer from Vancouver to Victoria.
The case has church circles by the ears throughout every city in Canada and the committee’s action to-day was the result of a discussion by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Canada.
