TOWN HALL. Two old boys with young ideas! ,That’s the idea of “Two Flaming Youths,’’ the first vehicle Paramount selected for its new comedy team —W. C. Fields and Chester Conklin —which reaches the Town Hall screen on Wednesday. Fields is seen as the owner of a fast-fail-ing side show, which staggers into the little Kansas town of Arkosa, where Conklin is sheriff. Conklin has for several years considered himself engaged to the town’s most attractive “old girl,” the widow, Madge Malarkey, played by Cissy Fitz-Gcrald. But Fields gets the idea of marrying the widow, and the two youths flame ambitiously in front of the widow in this feud for her hand. With supports, at usual cabaret prices. A boxing drama, “The Count of Ten,” will screen on Friday evening. ROYAL. “The Poor Nut,” an amusing college comedy-drama’, will screen at the Royal on Wednesday. Jack Mulhall is the featured player. Jess Smith produced it with Richard Wjallace directing. It was made in a big way. An entire university —the University of Arizona was turned oyer to First National foi the making of the exterior scenes, and the university arranged to hold its biggest track meet of the year in order that the meet could be used as actual scenes in the picture. It is a picture that curries plenty of thrill’s as well as heartinterest and comedy.
