LUPIN IN POHANGINA COUNTY.

RESOLUTION RESCINDED

In view of the possibility 7 of un due hardship 1 being imposed on settlers along the Oroua River, the Pohangina County Council decided on Saturday to rescind the resolution declaring lupin a noxious weed in the Pohangina County, until such time as the Noxious Weeds Act is amended to allow of lupin being declared a noxious weed in certain portions of the county only. Cr Arbon stated that he had been assured by Mr J. G. Eliott, M.P., that the Prime Minister was in favour of the Act being altered and that it was proposed to deal with the matter at, an early date.
