MAORI BISHOP.
Auckland, Yesterday. In connection with the appointment of the first Maori bishop, it is considered likely that the Rev. F. A. Bennett, of Hawke’s Bay, may be the first to hold office. Mr. Bennett lived for some jjme at Rotorua, and he has a great knowledge of the traditions and temperament of the Maori race.
