TOWN HALL. “Baby Aline,” the latest comedy vehicle for Karl Dane and George K. Arthur, the unforgettable heroes of “Rookies,” is at the Town Hall to-night. Adapted by Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer from the brilliant stage comedy, the screen version of ‘"Baby Aline” is just one laugh af- ’ ter another. The Dane-Arthur combination is enriched by the addition of Charlotte Greenwood, a musical comedy star who adds a heap of shrieks to a rollicking story. The -trio are responsible for an chuckles, giggles, laughs and guffaws. The courtship of Oswald and Emma (Karl Dane and Charlotte Greenwood) is the finest bit of burlesque wooing ever staged, as are the mixups and complications occasioned by a battalion of babies, borrowed and stolen from protesting parents. The “Inner secrets” of a college of physical culture also provide comedy of the highest order. With supports at usual prices. Priscilla Dean will appear as the star of “The Danger Girl” at the Town Hall on Alonday. Usual prices. - ROYAL. George O’Brien, Virginia Valli and J. Farrell AlcDonald are the stars of the special “East Side, West Side,” at the Royal to-night. This melodrama is an exciting story of a young East skier’s rise to fame as a boxer, of his love affair with a West side girl and the human comedy asso- ' dated .with all phases of life in a big city like New York. On the same programme a star comedy “Monkey- Farm,” and Fox News. Prices 1/- and 1/6. Children half price. Next Wednesday “The Poor Nut” will be screened, and on Saturday next the epic picture “Alons.”
