METHODIST CHURCH.

A very pleasant and successful social afternoon Avas held by the Methodist Ladies’ Guild at the Parsonage yesterday. During the afternoon a competition Avhich Avas heartily entered into by all Avas held, the prize being Avon by Miss Edmondson. After a dainty afternoon tea had been served the business connected with the Guild was transacted. It was decided to hold the monthly social on Tuesday the 2-lth, in the schoolroom, when an attractive programme Avill be rendered.

On August 15th, the Methodist Mission party Avill visit Foxton. This is an entirely new-party and will include some splendid talent. The Rev. A. J. Seamer is expected to be present, and a fine programme is assured.
