WRAGGE INSTITUTE DESTROYED BY FIRE.
Auckland, June 21. Fire at Birkenhead last night destroyed the Wragge Institute, together with the whole of the late .Mr. Clement Wragge’s meteorological instruments and Polynesian curios. The building was a seven-roomed structure. A private residence overlooking the institute was not damaged, hut many tropical trees in the grounds were burned or scorched.
