DOUBLE BIRTHDAY PARTY.

AT OROUA DOWNS.

Mr. and Mrs. Funnell and Air. and Mrs. A. Sexton, of Oroua Downs, gave a party in the Oroua Downs Hall last night to celebrate the coining of age of their sons, Messrs Darcy Funnell and Lance Sexton. Guests were present from all parts of the district including Palmerston North. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs J. A. Nash and J. Linklater, M.PV. The hall was tastefully decorated and the floor space was taxed to its utmost. Felicitous speeches were made and responded to by the young men. Vocal items were contributed at intervals by Palmerston vocalists and Miss Nolene Pritchard (Foxton). Excellent dance music was supplied by Speights’ orchestra (Palmerston N.). Cheers were given for the parents and Auld Lang Syne sung at the eonelusion.
