PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the local Plunket Society was held in the Plunket room yesterday afternoon.
Present: Mesdames F. Robinson (president), F. Procter, D. Chris-
tie, C. Edwards, A. Baker, W. Smith, M. B. Bergin, M. E. Perreau, A. Ross and W. Trueman (acting secretary). An apology for absence was received from Mrs. Chrystall. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mr. and Mrs. Barron in the , loss of their little daughter. It was decided to ask Mrs. Barron to attend a conference of Society delegates on August 28th, at Wellington. The balloting under the group system resulted as follows: —Mi'S. F. Robinson’s group: Mesdames M. B. Bergin, A. Ross and J. Chrystall; Mrs. F. Procter’s group: Mesdames D. Christie, W. Smith and C. Edwards; Mrs. W. Trueman’s group: Mesdames A. Baker, M. E. Perroau and Roore. Flower Steward: Mrs. A. Ross. Visitor for the month: Mrs. F. Procter.
Mr. Corn’s weighing machine produced the sum of 7/4.
